FAQ

GENERAL QUESTIONS

What is marine foam decking made of?

We use premium closed-cell EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) foam engineered specifically for marine environments. It’s UV-resistant, non-absorbent, soft underfoot, and designed to withstand heat, sun, salt, and heavy use.

How long does the decking last?

With proper care, marine foam decking typically lasts 5–7+ years, depending on usage, climate, and maintenance. Many customers see even longer lifespans.

Is foam decking safe for kids and pets?

Absolutely. It’s soft, slip-resistant, and provides excellent traction whether wet or dry.

Will it damage my boat?

No. Marine decking uses pressure-sensitive adhesive designed for fiberglass, gelcoat, aluminum, or painted surfaces. It bonds securely and can be removed professionally if needed.

Can I choose my own colors?

Yes! We offer dozens of color combinations, textures, and thicknesses — plus multi-layer options for custom designs and inlays.

INSTALLATION QUESTIONS

How long does installation take?

Most installations take 1 day, depending on the size of the project. Full refits may take 1–2 days.

Do you offer mobile installation?

Yes. We offer mobile installation throughout Phoenix and surrounding Arizona lake regions where access allows.

Can I bring my boat to your shop?

Yes. Our facility at 21500 N 8th Way, Ste 160, Phoenix, AZ is equipped for in-shop installation, which can provide the best conditions for bonding.

Do you remove old decking?

Yes, we can remove your existing foam decking. Removal charges vary based on difficulty and adhesive condition.

Do you install year-round?

Yes—we install decking year-round in Arizona. Extremely hot summer days may require early morning scheduling for optimal adhesion.

CUSTOM DESIGN & FABRICATION QUESTIONS

How does the templating process work?

We digitally capture your deck layout or use precision manual templating to create a perfect 1:1 digital model. This file is then cut on our CNC system for exact fitment.

Can you create custom logos or boat names?

Yes! We specialize in multi-layer inlays, custom artwork, boat names, and engraved designs.

Can you match my upholstery or gelcoat?

In most cases, yes. We have a wide color palette that pairs well with modern boat interiors.

Do you keep templates on file?

Yes. Once your boat is templated, we store it for future re-cuts, replacements, or add-ons.

COST & FINANCING QUESTIONS

How much does custom boat decking cost?

Pricing depends on boat size, number of areas, materials, and design complexity. Most projects range from $1,500–$8,000+.

Do you provide estimates?

Yes — we offer free detailed quotes. Upload photos and boat specs for the fastest turnaround.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. We offer flexible financing options with affordable monthly payments and no early payoff penalties.

Do custom logos or inlays cost extra?

Yes, custom inlays add design, fabrication, and lamination time. Your quote will include exact pricing.

MAINTENANCE & CARE QUESTIONS

How do I clean the decking?

– Rinse regularly with freshwater
– Use mild soap
– Soft-bristle brush only
– Avoid harsh chemicals, acetone, bleach, or solvents

Can I pressure wash it?

Yes—but with caution. Keep the nozzle at least 12–16 inches away and use a wide fan tip.

Does the decking get hot?

Foam decking stays cooler than gelcoat, fiberglass, and painted non-skid, especially in lighter colors.

Can fish blood or stains be removed?

Yes. Use mild marine-safe cleaners. Avoid abrasive scrubbers and harsh chemicals.
